thanks man, ya, its starting to get to me now.. just very depressed about the hole thing. not wanting to do a damn thing. not even sleep and i have to get up early tomorrow... its goin to be a rough couple of weeks until i get hjer back to 100%...
Don't worry man, things will end up being alright. Hopefully it doesn't take that long to get fixed. I know how you feel about getting yours handed down to you. I feel the same way, it's been with us since it was brand new and I couldn't let mine go even if I get into a accident. (knock on wood) But keep your head up man, I can't wait to see it back to being pretty :banana2:

then I take it back.

I have heard that you do not have to buy it back, this was discussed earleir on this board. It is still your truck. They have to pay you for the damage. You should not have to buy it from them as they never bought it from you.
You heard wrong. If the insurance company totals the vehicle, then they will give you the value off the vehicle as compensation, meaning, they are pretty much buying the vehicle from you and giving you fair market value. If they only give you the money to repair the damage, then yes, but if it's totaled, they don't just give you the damage repair amount, they give you full value for the vehicle. Then some offer you the option to buy it back or the salvage price. When i totaled my '99 R/T, I got ~$15K from insurance and was able to buy it back for $2K. I actually came out way a head on the deal doing it that way than trying to argue with them to repair it. Now I just wish I would have used that money to fix that truck as opposed to buying the one I have now. I'd be a lot further ahead financially and performance wise at this point.

god fucking damnit.... just crashed my truck... fuck this shit. knew i shouldnt have driven tonight, and ever since everyone on here was fucking their shit up, i had a feeling mine was coming... isnt totaled.. or so i think. rear ended someone doing 40?.. they abruptly slowed to let someone turn and i hit them... need a new gril guard, hood, pass fender, bumper and grill.. so now i can get a new srt style moores performance hood... any info on cheap yet quality grill, fender, bumper anyhting?? pics later when i get them.. its damn wet ,cold and dark.. FML

what consitutes a new radiator?? mine got pushed in by the bumper, but i dont think its leaking..... anythig else i need to be aware of? any input on the price i may be looking to pay for new stuff? pass fender, grill, grill guard ($200), hood ($600), top frame bar, passenger side frame bar,

what consitutes a "total'd" vehicle.. i know it has do to with how much the insuance company wants to pay and all, but im not taking their shit. il buy it back and fix it myself and get a CTD while im at it. but, frame wise and damage wise. what part of the frame needs to be bent, how bad and any other info would be great...
The Durango curse is spreading like a California wild fire. Hate to hear and see the bad news. Glad to hear that you and friend are okay though. Good luck with repairs!!

Hard to tell by just the pics you have posted so far. If insurance does total it, should be a fairly easy repair on your own. Hardest part will be gathering all the parts you need. One thing you have going for you right now is all the donor tucks sitting in salvage yards right now thanks to C4c.

Dang Spencer! It seems like just a few months ago I saw you rolling into the show and was all "that's a pretty sweet rango", makes me wish I was still working at the body shop down there, I could have gotten you some killer prices. But looking at that damage I wouldn't say that it's totaled, as long as you have the receipts and stuff for the work they will factor that into the cost of the whole vehicle. Lets just hope the frames not kinked or twisted too bad. Best of luck to ya.

ya i figured that much.. i plan on tracking down the parts, installing them and lettng the body shop do the rest. i figure that would be the cheapest bet..

I've been good, wish it was the same for you though. As for pricing it really depends on what your willing to pay, rough est for hood, grille, bumper & lower cover, brackets, and fenders (this is all guess from what I can see from the pics) I'd say about 600-700. What would probably be the worse on you is what they will have you pay for straightening the frame if its tweaked, our shop charged 85 an hour on the frame straightener and that was cheap for the labor rates at other shops in the area.

well, dad took it into the body shop tonight.. he was very happy ith their service. as i have been as well. asked them for help on painting random things (wheels, tailights, etc) and they were always helpful. doingn an inspection/quote tomorrow, so ill know something by then and hopefully we can start the repair by monday.. located a few parts trucks around my area, so i should be set with a fender, grill, bumper, and the srt hood
