dude.. idc either.. thats the way i am too. recently had to tade in my old, john deere 317 htat i got form my g-pa (for free) b/c it needed 600$ worht of work.. my dad said he wasnt going to pay it but it'd be better to trade in on a new one.. i still dont see how that was the fiscally responsible thing to do. spend 600$ on this one or 2k+? on a new one????

I fear you're going to see some frame damage up front due to the bar being bolted to it, but who knows. It may be like a Timex, 'Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!

The inner fender thing at the PCM is all bolt on stuff and be replaced. Get your ass to the body shop ASAP...show season is coming soon!!

ya, thats what im worried about too. im heading to the body shop as soon as i can... im afrad of the frame damage, but im not letting anyone tell me shes total'd until i say so, or its crashed,burn and flipped. even then... i am wanting a CTD very bad, but not willing to give this up. i i were, i woudl have done so a long time ago. i just sent the 20's off to get p/c too...

Depending on the insurance company, they will take a certain percent of the value of the vehicle, and if the damage is over that amount, or near that amount, they'll call it a total loss. Then they determine how much they could get at a salvage yard as to how much they want for you to buy it back.

Doesn't look too bad, but the money adds up quick! To paint my fender and hood, bumper, and the a/c condenser on the Durango, it was something like $4600 in damage. But that's with about $400 in frame work to straighten the end of the frame rail. But that was some significant bending of it, not just from the bumper and grill guard.

I have heard that you do not have to buy it back, this was discussed earleir on this board. It is still your truck. They have to pay you for the damage. You should not have to buy it from them as they never bought it from you.

thanks man, except for your luck mingling with mine.... im feeling it now. really, really depressed. wasnt as mad as i thought i would be or dreamed i would be. guess it will change with the time. im not wanting to do a damn thing.. its alot worse than what it looks. the pushbar is literally pushed into the radiator....

ya man, i can understand that... i just hate how it could have all been avided if i had let me friend drive... or even kept my truck at home for the weekend, or just stayed home... but hell, whats done is done, and whats done cant be undone. so i guess ill be getting my new hood, wheel, brush guard and other parts along with my wheels..... and if shes totaled.. then im getting a CTD and parking this one for a while to fix her myself... bought it brand new, and not settling for anything less...
