Front Hub Bearing Replacement

This is on my 99 2wd, w/2 wheel ABS. If you want to save some money, the bearing can be replaced separate of the entire hub assembly. I found the bearing set on Amazon for $30 ea., they are Timken Set 49, a comparable hub with a Timken bearing for mine on Rock Auto is $75 ea. Once the hub is removed there is a inner retaining ring on the back side to remove, I put the assembly in the press, pushed the old out, pressed the new in using the old bearing to fully seat the new bearing, replace the snap ring and you are set.

Front end back together with new upper & lower ball joints, sway bar end links, hub bearings, cleaned up and coated frame, a-arms, and springs with KBS rust stop. Installed new hardware on the brakes and put in new piston seals.

This is a good idea for guys running Viper brakes. As they have to run machined down hubs for them to fit inside the rotor hats of the Viper brakes.
wish I would have had this a long time ago! gone through so many hubs it is sickening
Not everyone has a 2 ton press at their disposal lol
