Actually its a bolt-on scoop, I am going to fiberglass the scoop somewhat to make it look not look like a bolt-on and I am working on making a box to seal my engine to the hood :banana2:
Ah! that's better then.....when you explained it the first time I had horrible images in my head :jester: :jester:

How exactly did you rewire your factory fan?!? Do u have a diagram that I could look at do do mine?
Basicly I had to abandon there stock wiring to the fan. I had to rewire the power sourse to the relay to the stock fan. took me about 5 hours to hook it up, and make sure every thing fits and works properly. Right now I just order a Flex a lite Dual Puller fan since I want my engine to run more cooler. I had also upgraded my temp relay to 185 to turn on instead of 195 and also support a dual fan. :sorry: I don't have a diagram I did on my own and a few tips on the forums.

One more thing for you 3.9L and 5.9L I had installed a K&N cone filter right on to the black intake cover not sure what the propper name for it . But I notice that I got better throttle response than my cold air intake system. Yes it louder. I tried it on my 5.9 and my 3.9 there both are loud. For the 3.9 I was surpise it sounds like an 8 when you step on it around 3-5 RPM below that it's quiet. Now I have to find a custom hood with hood scoop to let more cold air in when i'm on the freeway maybe will add me a few more HP we'll see. Maybe one of these day maybe next summer I might install a 5.9L TB on my 3.9 to get even more air flow.

back to the argument of the a/c off windows down thing....lol....i raced my friends silverado with the a/c off and the windows up (he was on my bumper).....then i turned the ac on max a/c full cold level one on the fan speed...(took him by at least a car maybe a lil more.....this proves to me that dodges have always and will always pull harder and better under load........btw these are rough estimats doesnt really prove anything and isnt this argument about power cuz i heard a lil about gas mileage lol and personally at 10.6 mpg (best).....(in my 5.9 4x4 durango) i cant really be concerned about gas mileage lol......i go throug a half a tank a day.....but as far as power i do personally believe that it pulls harder when the ac is on the lowest setting of max....

No, but removing the fan will gain you a few pounds of tourqe. However you will loose cooling abilites as such in stand still trafic. But, if you are at constant speeds(low to minor stops and stand stills), there will be no issuses. You can always hook up an elictric fan if you like to!

I think there is a difference between barking your tires or pulling a 6% grade at 6-8 thousand feet elevation with 3 ton tied on. I got one of the first of 1400 to come off the assembly line. I bought it with the idea of having it for RV use and a hobby. I installed Doug Thorley headers, cut the 2 1/2 inch exit out of the converter and installed a 3 inch. It has the K&N snorkle Bosch quad tip spark plugs. Cosmetically, Cal induction hood with Dakota RT on each side of the raised part and a bumble bee stripe around the ass.
Now as for the computer, I have a Hyper-tech do nothing aluminum box that I have had off and on several times, then one day I decided to get off my lazy ass and install the 180 thermostat. Eureka!! The thing pulls like a mad bull. All of this is related to our yearly Spring pilgrimage to a park in South central Nevada. We live in Astoria, Oregon and it's a 1000 miles to our destination with 12 mountain passes, some up to 8000 ft. elevation. Black cc trimmed in red, with Cerullo buckets. [email protected]

I have to agree with everyone about the TMR mod. I even managed to get my QC sideways during one particularly violent 1-2 shift. Hasn't happened again, but it's a little more difficult with a LSD vs open diff. Also, if you're so inclined and have some know-how, TRANSGO has a shift kit for the 545RFE. Not free by a long shot, but definately worth looking into. :drive:

IAT Sensor

I read about the IAT sensor on KRCs page and decided to try it. I did it on my 94 318 Grand Cherokee. I didn't feel anything really and my MPG sucks more!!! (of course 7" of lift and 10 offroad lights don't help) BUT, I had all that before. I have, for performance/mpg, K&N FIPK, jet chip(no programmer made for that grand), 180* t-stat, bosch platinum +4s, lower resistance plug wires, and I never run the A/C in it. I was curious if anyone else had experienced a lower mpg with that mod? Oh, does anyone have any experience with the Speed Sensor calibrators? I decided to fork out 140 bucks to see if that would help my shifts/mpg/power b/c I read that it messes with fuel when you have larger tires or a different ratio gear(in that with larger tires the vehicle acts as if it is going slower and supposedly pumps more fuel into the cylinders). Confusing I know, as soon as I install the calibrator I will post my observations.
