not exactly free, but when you change your plugs, switch to Autolite 3923, instead of the stock plugs.

I'd have to dissagre at speeds at over 60mph aero wise its better to have the windows up and A/C on, I owned an old 280zx and in the owners manual it said to roll the windows up for better MPG and use your A/C (cira 1983)mopar rt said:When on the highway turn off the AC and lower the windows.
It's been noted before that at speeds less than 45 having the windows down doesn't have that much affect on drag. 50 must have been almost a toss up. Hard to know how well the test was controlled. Obviously you would have to run "both vehicles" simultaniously and side by side. Then you would have to do the test all over again switching vehicles. After all of that you would data applicable to only that make and model vehicle. That is not much of a "myth buster" imo.suffolk_mopar said:actually myth busters proved it true that having the windows down is better than a/c as far as gas mileage. this test was done with the cruise set to 50 mph and both vehicles had 5 gallons of gas. the one with the a/c ran out of gas first.

So who drives at 50mph?suffolk_mopar said:actually myth busters proved it true that having the windows down is better than a/c as far as gas mileage. this test was done with the cruise set to 50 mph and both vehicles had 5 gallons of gas. the one with the a/c ran out of gas first.
Gotta drive on residential roads sometimes lol. JK I usually do less the speed limit in residential areas, kids never look both ways.oO_Rogue_Oo said:So who drives at 50mph?
I work around race cars and its less aero drag when there up if you notice in American Lemans that they have windows on there cars with just a hole for the driver to stick a bird out.suffolk_mopar said:actually myth busters proved it true that having the windows down is better than a/c as far as gas mileage. this test was done with the cruise set to 50 mph and both vehicles had 5 gallons of gas. the one with the a/c ran out of gas first.
