Ive always liked the looks of a floor shifter so ive decided to look into getting one. I notice alot of people use the B&M shifters and I like the looks. Does anybody know the correct part number for my application - 1998 Dakota R/T 46RE. Also I want an overdrive button on the handle if possible. Is this an easy install? Tips?

Hurst also makes the floor shifter, the od button is on the side of the handle.

the only thing is thats the car version but in the dakotas you are close enough to use it i dont know if you want the truck version that has a higher base.

im sure i could fab something up to get it to fit lol.
but what would you do with the shifter on the steering column

im not sure on the newer ones but i just removed mine and slid the plastic piece down and it looks factory.

i got a 98. i just think it would look pretty bare without anything on that side

I for some reason think the hurst uses the general purpose part #.

Had to remove the console of course.

I always thought it would be cool to put a Hurst Pistol Grip shifter in a Dak, One like this..........
