Me and my srt-4 driving buddy decided to go to the track Wednesday after school. We loaded my car up and headed to the track, got some race fuel and we were on out way. I was in the 67 satellite that night. got a time trial and went a 14.2 because people said traction was horrible so I babied it outta the hole and it hooked hard. I had plenty of traction.

Anyways, got in to the trophe class and dialed a 14.00. Ran a 14.383 with a .209 light to the other lanes .558 light and a 14.97 on a 14.40 dial. On to round two. At the end of the night I ended up going to the final race of about 40 cars and got beat at the tree. I had a .240 light and ran a 14.193 on a 14.10 dial to the other guys .100 light and a 15.809 on a 15.65 dial.
The best slip of the night looked like this, and it was a new 60 foot and e/t record for the car.
me him
dial... 14.10 12.73
r/t... .273 -.86
60' ... 2.090 1.960
1/8... 9.028 8.236
mph... 79.10 89.23
1000.. 11.713 10.662
1/4... 14.004<win 12.661
mph... 97.98 110.37

Im soo close to the elusive 13 second timslip. The car has a 9.8 to 1 360 with a 600 edelebrock, dual plane m1 intake, .484 purple shaft cam, 1 5/8 inch hedders, a stock 727 tranny, with bfg t/a's and an open 3.23 rear. Hoopefuly with a few more degrees of timing she will be hittin 13.90's. I was really happy with the cars consistancy when I got my launch togeather :drive: and I was also happy because it was my first time bracket racing and I put quite a few guys on the trailer.

The buddys srt-4 did a best of 14.02 at 102. the srt has a ice man throttle body, typhoon intake and msd coil and magnicore wires. id say its about right on par with a 04 because its an 03 with a few mods. It needs tires bad so It should be in the 13's with some better rubber. He just got the flatfoot shifts down too.

Were both headed to our tracks highschool nationals this sunday so I hope I do well there because there are alot of scholorships up for grabs. :mullet:

Thanks man. Im on race gas because it detonated when I first got it togeather it detonated and I retarted the timing and didn't want to take a chance on detonation when I advanced the timing to where it should be. Its an auto 727. Sorry if you didn't know the old chrysler tranny lingo. That night I had about 20 in the left side and about 30 In the passenger because I forgot to check them. Those pressures = suck with an open rearend so I swhiched them tonight to 30 in the left and about 23 in the right so maybe I can improve the 60' some :drive: The tires are p235 14 60's.

Yeah jumping between GM/Ford/Chrysler "lingo" gets an old man confused after awhile.....tire pressure is critical and so often overlooked....I'd try 25 in both rears.....about 40 in both fronts.....is there anyway you can check your air/fuel ratios through your rpm bands? A local dyno....or even a handheld.....I would maintain stock TDC.....run pump gas and benchmark....from there you can "adjust"....you may be running fairly rich playing around with the timing....A 3000 +/_ rpm torque convertor would wake that ride up...better than a shot of gas....
Anyway...just my humble observations.....fun though ain't it:)

you need gears in that big ass car dude!! 3.92's would do you good. also a set of bfg drag radials would definatly get you in the 13's. get them good and hot too. 3-8 second burnout after they just start to smoke up should be sifficient.

Heck yea its fun, except today I got put out second round in the highschool nationals at my track. I couldent hook the car up at all because it was spitting rain on the track and they were sokin the crap outta the water boxes and they had 350+ cars there and they used abosutely no traction compound :cussing:. So the end result of that race was some girl in a automatic VW beetle beating me with a 11.60 on a 11.50 dial with a .380 light to my .110light and a 9.59 on a 9.20 dial.

Last wednesday the car went a 9.09 1/8th. It just pisses me off that someone with no driverskill at all can come and win stuff like that. I coulda jumped in the tow vehicle with the trailer still on it and won it all because I was cuttin killer lights. My best of the day was a .003 :mullet: and then a .077 then a .116 and a .110. Also the car has a 2600 stall and I was running 40 in the fronts and 26 in the drivers side and 23 in the passenger. I'm lower on the passenger side because its an open diferential if you missed that.

Real deal has a tap on my brain waves because I have a set of 2 steel wheels getting ready to get some bfg dr's on em and a new 3.91 sure grip going in before the next trip to the track. O yea and the plugs are right on after a wot pass but it would probably help to check the a/f throughout the rpm band.
