Me and my srt-4 driving buddy decided to go to the track Wednesday after school. We loaded my car up and headed to the track, got some race fuel and we were on out way. I was in the 67 satellite that night. got a time trial and went a 14.2 because people said traction was horrible so I babied it outta the hole and it hooked hard. I had plenty of traction.
Anyways, got in to the trophe class and dialed a 14.00. Ran a 14.383 with a .209 light to the other lanes .558 light and a 14.97 on a 14.40 dial. On to round two. At the end of the night I ended up going to the final race of about 40 cars and got beat at the tree. I had a .240 light and ran a 14.193 on a 14.10 dial to the other guys .100 light and a 15.809 on a 15.65 dial.
The best slip of the night looked like this, and it was a new 60 foot and e/t record for the car.
me him
dial... 14.10 12.73

60' ... 2.090 1.960
1/8... 9.028 8.236
mph... 79.10 89.23
1000.. 11.713 10.662
1/4... 14.004<win 12.661
mph... 97.98 110.37
Im soo close to the elusive 13 second timslip. The car has a 9.8 to 1 360 with a 600 edelebrock, dual plane m1 intake, .484 purple shaft cam, 1 5/8 inch hedders, a stock 727 tranny, with bfg t/a's and an open 3.23 rear. Hoopefuly with a few more degrees of timing she will be hittin 13.90's. I was really happy with the cars consistancy when I got my launch togeather :drive: and I was also happy because it was my first time bracket racing and I put quite a few guys on the trailer.
The buddys srt-4 did a best of 14.02 at 102. the srt has a ice man throttle body, typhoon intake and msd coil and magnicore wires. id say its about right on par with a 04 because its an 03 with a few mods. It needs tires bad so It should be in the 13's with some better rubber. He just got the flatfoot shifts down too.
Were both headed to our tracks highschool nationals this sunday so I hope I do well there because there are alot of scholorships up for grabs. :mullet:
