Bought the truck a few years back for $900. Replaced a few seals and gaskets and fixed some leaks. 120k miles and I am the 3rd owner.

Just got it back from it's full body restoration and paint.

I have a set of brand new 16" rims to fit when the weather warms up etc.

Looks amazing. Was there much rust?

AJ

Thanks for the compliment. Actually it wasn't too badly rusted compared to most I saw (there are not many Gen 1's in my area). The roof had paint peel and rust, no rear bumper, the paint was peeling and rust on the back

Great job on the truck, it looks great. Can you post some interior shots?
Yes here are a few, the interior needs a full detailing as it was restored in the middle of the country so it's a little dirty.

The dash and everything else is in great condition with no cracks, chips etc. I just need to fix the headliner as it is sagging.

Thanks for the kind words.

Nice TBird there!

We also own a 1991 Cougar XR7 besides our 1988 Dakota.

Nice, so you have the 4.6 V8 in yours? 1990 had the supercharged V6 if I recall.

Yes I love T-Birds and had a 1994 LX V8 as a show car some years back. I don't have the one in the photo, that was a 1997 and they cheaped out by then (less gauges etc) I prefer the 1994/95

4.6 didn't come in until 1994; my 1991 has the 5.0HO (302W with 351 firing order).

It's a NICE car.

Rides better than some new cars; or at least, it will again after I do the shocks again (did them about 75,000 miles ago; somehow, they've worn out ... :worky:
