I got a set of factory tow hooks, and for the life of me cant get the long bolt that connects the frame rail to the front end, all it is doing is spinning the bushing on top. soaked it in break free, tried a Impact...nothing is working, and i cant get a hack-saw under the head to just push it out. Any ideas??

They are an option, and standard on some packages such as the TRX4...and I solved my own issue, since the bolts will not come out of the bushings(found out they were body hold downs) I just cut the bolt head off and ordered 2 new bushings

Dakhorse,

I just got an '05 myself and was thinking of adding tow hooks. Would you post a picture of yours? It would be good to see what you came up with.
Anyone else have any ideas? I can't afford a new bumper with D Rings, would like to add hooks or Rings some other way.

Well, I actually just put on the dodge tow hooks, when I get home ill take a picture and post it so you get an idea of how it mounts....but it was not a cheap endeavor...tow hooks were $90 and the 2 new bushings were 70

these are factory tow hooks, I could not really find a aftermarket set that would fit this nice, and these also offer really good security due to the fact that they bolt right to the frame rail and also the front bumper frame assembly.

Not trying to be a dick I was looking forward to it and was unaware of the years. I'm on tapatalk and the info that's available on the forum isn't available on tapatalk. When I see posts I only see ur name and what's posted, no stats. It looks good just wish it was a relevant post for me that's all

Its cool man, The only Tow hooks available for Gen 3 trucks are a rear one that bolts to the hitch frame. My buddy has a 97 with Aftermarket hooks bolted to the bumper ill see if he can get me some decent pics...as he is back home in OH and im in VA

I ordered a set of factory hooks I will post before and after pics when they come in. I am going to try to get the hooks and the bull bar from my old truck on the '05.
As i said I needed to do, if you cannot get the old frame hold down bushing loose, order 2 new and cut them off it was easy to just take a hack-saw to it and pull it out from the top, on the driver side, you need to take the horn loose and the passenger I needed to move the AC lines out of the way.
