I am installing an alarm and remote start system in my 99 dakota r/t and when the alarm sends a + pulse to the unlock wire it unlocks then immediatly relocks and the same with the "LOCK" wire. It only does this when the door is closed. I know it isnt the alarm system i am installing because i can tag just a positive wire to either the lock or unlock wire and it does the same thing.

How do I stop this from happening, is there a way to completely disengage the factory unlock and lock feature??

Spent all night trying and still can't figure it out. According to the wire description i have it says Lock= Orange (REV) - Reverse Polarity and unlock pink/purple - Positive What is "REV" and what exactly do they mean by reverse polarity??!!
