I have a 2004 Dakota 4x4 with a 4.7 v8 and my exhaust manifold is starting to leak. I asked the shop how much to put in a new gasket but they say I should just put a new manifold with a new gasket because they usually are warped or cracked. I could see if were cracked but if its warped couldnt they just get it resurfaced ?? Anyone have a opinion on this?? Thanks Randy

You prolly have a broken bolt causing the leak. That's more common on these engines then a warped manifold (but not to be ruled out).

i'v had this same problem twice first time it was the gasket and the second time it was a bolt if it happens a third time i might just spring for some jba headers :woot:
