This is probably a dumb question but I am new to Dakotas so I will ask anyway. What is the point of these electric fans I keep seeing on here? Does it free up power since the engine has one less pulley to turn? Is it that it just cools the vehicle better than the stock fan set up? Or is it a little bit of both?

It definatly frees up some power, and depending on the fan it can cool better than the mech fan. Mine doesnt seem to cool quite as well on a really hot 90-up degree day, but it hasnt become a problem yet. Once i get moving a little its fine again.
