My wife has a 03 Sxt 4x4 with the 5.9 engine. One morning she went to start the truck and it wouldnt, there were only about 5k on the vechile. when I went to give it a try, I had to "feather" the gas pedal while turning the key and I had to keep giving it gas for about 5 minutes to keep it from stalling. About a month later it did the same thing. this was all about 2 months ago. I checked spark and its good. Checked the schrader value for fuel pressure it was good. Has anyone ever heard of or experienced this? Since there was no check engine light on, the Mechs said it was fine....

Next time it happens call the dealership and tell them to come out and pick it up if they don't believe you. Almost sounds like you have a vacuum leak though. My mustang did that for awhile until I realized that i left a vacuum line disconnected at the transmission after I rebuilt it.
