·i can get a new mopar 360CI 380HP engine for ~3200, but how much would the rest of the conversion be? (rear end, gears, etc.)?
I would guess you would have anothor $1k in the axle and tranny alone. Total investment: $5.5k to $6kcory said:i can get a new mopar 360CI 380HP engine for ~3200, but how much would the rest of the conversion be? (rear end, gears, etc.)?
I'm no expert but go TBI with an M1 seems to work for some.DaPurpleRT said:Well, um, aren't all crate 360s Carbed too? You'll have to convert everything to work with carb or by a FI kit for about 1-2k too wouldn't you?

Not true. The motor will mate to the transmission and you will need a 360 flex plate for it to drive.cory said:im not going with the 360 because i would have to change out the rear and and transmission too. if this one kid doesnt buy my truck, i will be looking for a 318, otherwise im buying either a 3000gt, eclipse AWD turbo, or an older mr2 turbo.
Bang for the Buck you can't beat a TSi Talon (GTX Eclipse) Right up till they Crank Walk (about 10K of hard driving with moderate boost) Had one, been there blown that up. Came back to a Dakota. Take it from me, or learn the hard way! Just get Boost on your Kota (well a V8 FIRST)cory said:im not going with the 360 because i would have to change out the rear and and transmission too. if this one kid doesnt buy my truck, i will be looking for a 318, otherwise im buying either a 3000gt, eclipse AWD turbo, or an older mr2 turbo.
