This article has been referenced a number of times over the years. A lot of people were led to believe that 2003 R/T's came with these parts from the factory, or were an available option from dealerships. To date, not a single vehicle has ever been found which contained any of these parts from the factory, not even as a dealership-specific option package. Unfortunately Dodge never once upgraded the performance of the Dakota R/T during its 7-year production run.

Pic #1 - For the last few years that Truckin' Magazine sponsored the Truckin' Nationals event in Phoenix, the DRTC was always the biggest club in attendance by quite a large factor. However, the dorks who write the articles always skipped the Dakotas when it came to writing the story & taking photos. I wanted to point out that I did spot one R/T in one photo - you can just barely see my old 01 R/T in the staging lanes here. lol
