My '98 Durango started doing this (the double chime, like when you are low on gas) a while ago (prior to any of my mods). There are no trouble codes displayed, and no idiot (dash warning) lights on.

Am I the only one that this has happened to? Any ideas?

Need usable details:
What's happening when this chime goes off?
Sitting at a light? Turning corner? Braking? Driving around with low washer fluid?
Does it always chime in the same circumstances?
Can you make it chime when you want to?

Get the picture? Need more info.

Do all of your instrument panel warning lights work?
You could have a situation and not know it, on account of a burnt out bulb.

Just driving or sitting still, it happens about 2 minutes after startup.

Going straight each time as I recall.

Yes.

No. I can only make it go faster or slower (due to mods :D ) when I want to.

I thought about this and was hoping that was the case since the third brake light bulbs were out. I replaced these when I did the headlight upgrade and checked all other exterior lights to be sure they worked. All fluid levels are OK as well.

Could be the same problem I'm having the Body Control Module. Cause that is where the ding ding comes from.
