Offset is a good indication of how much clearance you have for the brake caliper. If you buy wheels with less offset you may end up with the wheels hitting the caliper.

Thnak you to both of ya.

My next question would be this then....what is the correct off-set and back-spacing to get the rims to tuck underneath the truck, allowing the truck fenders to lay over the rims when the bags are dumped?

That all depends on what tires you plan on running and whether or not you have flares. If you want really wide tires you may have to narrow the rear axle.

Narrowing the rear is not needed ALL the time. There are several people on this and other Dakota boards that did not have to get the rear narrowed.

There are several different suggestions on what the off-set/back-spacng needs to be. I mostly hear 6.75", but I need to be sure.

Thanks for the help though.
