[Fast4.7]

Can anybody here tell me more about the dodge dakota stampede from 2003-04 and what came available on them like motors, trannys, etc. i would like to get as much info on them as i could.

As far as I know the Stampede package was only the body kit....and was available with any other package or engine.

But I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will chime in and say so :beer:

they were only available as an option on 2wd regular or club cab sport trims. only seen in white, black, red, silver or atlantic blue. quadcab option was technically called sport appearance group; and it only had the bed skirts and running boards; i've not seen the front stampede piece factory installed on a quadcab.

Is it pretty much the r/t after it was cancelled in 2003. In other words was that the top of the line model you could get. Btw were the only motors you could get in that the 3.9 and 4.7 i raced a kid in a black stampede cc and smoked him. i think he had a 3.9 though. Anyway if anybody else here can supply me with more info on these stampedes thatd be cool. thanks

body kit was available to the 3.9, 4.7 and 5.9 in 2003; and the 3.7 and 4.7 in 2004.

there was, i remember seeing a sport appearance group for quadcabs in one of the 03-04 dakota accessories brochures at the dealerships. however, it consists of running boards along the cab and bed skirts--has no special front bumper

Are they rare trucks also i guess and did any of them come in a 5 speed manual or automatic or was it just a 4 speed automatic like on the r/t.

nothing special about them at all, some had additional stampede badges. 2003 dakotas were the last to have 5.9 v8s, these engines were backed only byt the 4-speed 46re--all other engine options had available 5-speed manual transmissons. 5 speed automatics showed up in 2004, but only the 3.7 and 4.7 engines remain.

that cant be true because my 2003 dakota sport 4.7 has a 5 speed automatic.

The 5.9 was an option.....you couldn't get the option anymore after 2003. The 4.7's have been available from 2000. The 5.9's were only available with the 46RE 4 speed auto.

The Stampede option did not replace the R/T. The R/T was cut off as of 2003...the stampede package was a seperate option from the R/T. It was possible to get a Stampede R/T

This is true info. I'm not a big fan of body kits so i don't care much for the Stampede, but they are kinda rare. If you try to but the kit from a Dodge dealer you will shit yourself when they tell you the price, big bucks!

Yeah like Ben said above, You'll crap your pants when they tell you how much for the body kit, better off getting another body kit if you really want one.

HOLY SHIT:tdown: $3500 bucks for the stampede body kit. Screw that ill just keep my truck the way it is. I can't believe it's that much money i could buy a supercharger for that much practically.

2003 was the first year for the 545RFE. My truck has it mated to the 4.7.

Does anyone know if it can bolt to a 5.9?
