I have been searching the web, and all I find are guys asking the questions, but not much in the way of answers.

Lets put this to bed! Lets see if we can't put together a COMPATIBILITY LIST of ALL Make and Model cars and trucks that can serve as seat donors for our Rangos and Daks.

I know there will be some funky swaps, as was the case in the direct bolt in match from a 91 Chevy Cavalier into my 93 Jeep YJ. So let's find them!!!

I would like to find info on cross generation dakota / durango swaps too. Say does 3rd gen fit 2nd gen, etc.

You ever start this list? I'm searching too, looking to install a 2001 Dodge Ram drivers seat into a 2000 Durango. Do you know if this is a direct fit or requires modifications?
It's a great idea, but unfortunately this seems to have been a hit and run post.. He hasn't even bothered to log in again since he posted it.

If people get it started, this will be moved to the Tech Exchange section.

i just finished a 2000 durango to a 2001 dakota ext 4x4 cab front seats.since there was no wiring for seats in the dakota i had to do my own wiring.as far as line up,the tracks were an exact match in distance but the durango seats had thicker rivets for holding the tracks to the floorboard, simple fix i widened the holes and whalla! perfect fit.i bolted them in,connected my wiring only to find that the durango seat sits higher then a dakota, luckily i was installing electric seats so it was adjustable.the durango seat was about 4 inches thicker due to the leather and electronics.after adjusting the seat everything was perfect.i had tried swapping the durango seats with a ram 1500 but even tho they lined up the sitting distance was extremely different even when raised all the way, stick with the same basic truck size and swaps seem to work out fine.
