Did you keep the factory brake lines that go across the front crossmember? If not how did you run them?

i am in no means an expert and i have ZERO experience with big blocks... but i read somewhere of a 70s challenger with a twin turbo 440 running 1100hp on stock crank and rods. and i know our 360 blocks like to come apart around 800hp... so why are you so mild only going for 800hp?

SICK build BTW. it really looks like fun. very clean too.

It was in a magazine. Idk just thought they could handle more.

What other suspension and brake upgrades are you doing?

I'm trying to decide how to route the brakes as well.

update

no updates yet sorry. and the 440 block with a main girdle will split around 800 horse. im using caltrac suspension. 90/10 front shocks and 50/50 rear shocks and the caltrac leaf springs with their traction bars too. i have tubular upper and lower control arms also.

Just Wanted Too say thats a nice 440 build love it!! i have a turbo 360 sb not sure the hp never dynoed,,,, but its ran a best of 10.70s with the ass sliding off the line lol need to adjust my caltracs there new and i havent touched them yet...

You are the man with some big ball. i love it . i got an 87 dak with a 416 Storker motor an i though mine was going to be bad but yours s the king. great job man..... but my dak is 4 linked and back half.::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

I ran the brake lines along the firewall.

what diff/axle did you use? and bolt battern?

im thinking about blue white or silver. not sure yet though. i built a dana 60 rear end with mosier 35 spline axles and a spool. bolt pattern is 5 lug 4 1/2 bolt pattern with 5/8 studs. my problem now is the brake calipers hit the frame since the rearend is so narrow.

how does that 543 run? ive herd some goods and bads about them.
