Just ordered a pair of the Gibson 4.7 chrome headers for my Dakota. I got them from JcWhitney for $310.00 shipped! I know theyll be lucky to add 7hp to the rear wheels but I couldnt pass up that good of a deal.

Watch out for the top rear bolt on the passengerside. Its a pain in the A$$ to tighten. I used a bolt with an 8mm allen wrench head. Good luck installing, it took me 9hrs to install. I never installed headers before so I took my time. Its also easier to remove the plastic inner fender walls to see what your doing. Just go to autozone and pick up new fasteners to reinstall the fenders.

Good luck

For the benefit of those of us still in the research phase of header acquisition,
the Gibson and/or JC Whitney part numbers would be a great help. I couldn't get either web site to find headers for the Dakota 4.7L. Might have better luck if I could search by the part numbers, though.
Thanks.
