Hi, I'm from Chile, some time ago I bought a Dakota 2002 3.9 automatic, a while ago it started to have problems in idle at low rpm, when it goes and takes work temperature and I want to park it, it turns off in D or R this happens when I turned the steering, but when I don't move the steering it just drops the rpm to less than 500 and then it stabilizes. Someone knows what it could be?I changed the IAC valve but the fault continues, they also told me that it would be good to wash the throttle body.
Thank.

Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9

2002 dodge Dakota throttle position sensor

In my case I changed both parts they are not that expensive, is better to do the job once. For the idle IAC, you will need carburetor cleaner to clean the inside once you remove the part, it should have a lot of carbon deposits if it has not been done before.
