The instrument panel and the gauges in it are an incredibly important portion of the driver’s interaction with the vehicle. You scan the gauges constantly because you are involved with your vehicle. After spraying on some custom paint, smokin’ alloy wheels, it’s time to change the one thing you look at the most.

It’s usually only a matter of a few screws and snaps to pull the gauge cluster out of the dashboard. A few minutes of careful disassembly will have the whole cluster sitting in your lap. Then you can install the new gauge overlay. A few minutes are all it takes to get the overlay to sit right on top of your old one. Then simply reinstall the whole business into the dash.

So are they actually available for 1st gen Durangos? I just looked them up and it shows the exact same pictures you're showing here for the "Aqua" and "Stealth", which is most definitely NOT for a 2000 Durango.

And do you have any better pics? Preferably installed and lit ?

TazRango, all 3 gauge face kits from this post are available for 1998-2003 Dodge Durango. The manufacturer didn't make the pictures for each year and model, since the gauges are custom made. And it will be specifically made for your instrument panel. Here are few pictures, showing how it look like installed:

Ok cool. And you say they are custom done... Is that as in they are made on demand to spec and can be customized? Can they be made with custom lettering like Black Cat Customs offers? I don't want anything that has their ugly-ass logo emblazoned on it.

Custom gauge face kit means that it is made specifically for your instrument panel, which is specific for different vehicles. But unfortunately you won't be able to customize them in any other way.

Oh. Well that sucks. In that case the prices are pretty high, considering BCC will fully customize one for you for $75-125 less. I thought the Stealth one was cool, but if it can't be customized it ain't $260 cool.

Could I by chance see what stealth would look like for an 07 Durango and can I get the electroluminescent sheet lighting done in blue? How much would that cost as a package deal? Could you share a link to all avalable options that you have for said gauge cluster?

I plan to use my 2001 Dakota as the chassis/powertrain/instruments/interior as the donor for my 56 Dodge C3 pickup build. I even plan to use the Dakota gauge panel, but I'd like something more informative, like gauges that show actual info like voltage, oil pressure, temperature, etc. The stock gauge panel just references "normal" conditions but I like to see what normal is, and also see what trends it shows, like oil pressure psi, volts output, Can your gauge overlay panel be applied to the stock Dakota SLT cab gauge set?
