I figure that since the fullsize trucks come with basically the same engine choices as the Dakota that this has crossed the mind of someone crazy enough to try it, right?

There was also a guy who took the older 12V and put it in a RC 2WD Gen 3, all he did was add an intercooler to the engine and turn the fuel up slightly.
He was running like 12's on street tires and getting over 30 MPG. I need to search for it again.
