help i have just finished doing the head gasket on my 2002 dakota 4.7and I'm getting a crank but no start.it is turning over fairly fast almost like it doesn't have compression but when installed the new timing components I followed the Haynes manual and turned the engine over four full revolutions 5o make sure nothing was hitting and it had plenty of compression.
Now found a black grounding wire that seemed to come loose underneath the truck when I w ashooking up y e exhaust but didn't notice it during the teardown. I know the heads have to be grounded but they use the strap,so I don't know where this could have gone. I also can't figure out where the vacuum hose from the pvcvalve o. The oil filler neck goes to.
I don't know what to do next to even troubleshoot this. Any and all help is highly appreciated. Obviously this I smyfirst major overhaul like this
