Anybody up for a mtn drive, maybe hit a few trails? It'll have to wait til July since a lot of the high Mtn. trails are still snowed in.

I would like to hit Mosquito Pass again. It's rated moderate, but a stock Dakota/Durango can do it just fine, hell 15 yrs ago I went over it in a stock 2wd Mazda pickup. The last time we went over it was a bitch though as the rocks were moved and it's really rough, if you have sidesteps there is a chance one will get dented/scratched. However it's not open normally until late July thorugh mid-Sept.. There are some other trails that are open by mid-June. All the one's I'm leaning towards are in the Keystone, Breckenridge, Fairplay area, I'm familiar with several of them. A couple are quite well known in the 4x4 mags and books.

How big is your dakota? we could do a trail like slaughterhouse up in baily. BUt its pretty intense. Or there are a ton up by Idaho Springs

In stock form I can handle most trails, my biggest issue is overhang front and rear.

my issue is gas prices being where they are, i wont be able to drive really far, fill up again, then do some wheelin, then fill up once more so i can drive home..... so, i might have to sit this one out......

I was just up on FS286 which is part of Left Hand Canyon outside Boulder. It's a nice trail, a mix of mud, rocks, dirt. I only went about 1.5 miles, the trail goes another 3 miles and has several spurs on it. I still think we can put something together this summer.

Im down for some trails!!! I have a 2nd gen Durango with a 2.5" TB lift in the front. HOpefully thats good enough to clear most trails.

okay folks, let's get this planned, I'm thinking mid-August let's do something. We can hit the local stuff like Left Hand Canyon, or if anyone is up for something more challanging (even a slightly lifted 2wd) we can do a regular Mtn. run. I'd like to go back over Mosquito Pass.

I'm in Fort Collins and I would be down to drive anywhere within 200 miles. I have a stock height 99 Dak but I'd be more than willing to hit a more moderate trail. Would we be doing a one day trip or do a night of camping along the trail?
