:help: I have a 1997 Dakota 4x4 5.2 with 130k miles. Any idea what would cause a clunking sound while slowing down and turning right ? The sound is loudest when I do this while towing.

Lower ball joints were replaced at about 70k.

Problem Found

The problem was caused by the driver side upper ball joint. It was obviously the problem - had about half inch play up and down. Replaced for $35.00 - the cost of the part.
