I have a 98 Durango, 5.2L, about 118K miles. The check engine light comes on every once in awhile, the things runs rough for awhile then the light goes off. Took it in, they did a tune up, ran good, but has been doing it again. They say maybe the fuel injector(s) might be bad.

How can I tell if an injector is bad? Or do you replace all of them? (Kinda pricey though.) Any help will help.

If the check engine light is coming on, chances are there is a code set that can be checked. The code will determine the reason for the light coming on. Take it in and have them check that. They shouldn't be saying "it might be a bad injector," they should be able to tell exactly what is wrong if the CEL is coming on.

i had a similar problem. But i cant remember what they did. I think it was a relay or something. All i know it took them a while to order the part.

I would not go replacing you injectors, with out hard proof. It also could be your O2 sensors as well, how long does the CEL stay on?
