So I have a check engine light on for a very small leak, any idea on what may be the cause? I was thinking the charcoal box, guess I’ll have to have the smoke test done or something…

Is the code reading out to be related to fuel evap or something like that?
Mine is an '03 but it is a Dak, but I think that they may be set up the same way.
Underneath the battery tray there is a connector & some vaccum line for that system. check it & see what the condition is, & then follow it out. I am going from memory, but I think it 'T's so follow all of it out all the way. Like I said--memory, but I want to think it goes to a test port & then to a purge solenoid. Anyway, on mine, when I got around to finally putting out all the check engine lights, I found most of that line to be brittle & cracked & broken. Replacing that line solved mine. That code will take forever to go away, so if you want to see if you fixed it, it is quicker to disconnect the - terminal to clear it & then see if it comes back after a while (it takes a while for the computer to reset on that one).
