My 99 dodge durango, 5.9, ran great all day long stopped by a friends to visit got ready to leave and she'd crank but not start. I also have a 94 dodge ram 1500, 5.9, can I take the camshaft position sensor out of my 94 and put in my durango??

I took a quick look on Rockauto.com at both the '99 Dak 5.9 & '94 Ram 5.9 Crank pos sensors & SMP showed different part numbers for the different models; based on that, I'd say the answer is no. But as I typed, it was a QUICK look, so you might want to take a look yourself & see if I missed something.

Sorry about that--I actually looked up your crank pos sensor; but the same applies for your cam pos sensor (aka distributor pickup coil): Rock shows different part numbers for the SMP product. So no, it does not appear that those are interchangeable either.
