So I had a little mishap with the 360 currently in my first gen 4x4 (Bought it already swapped after my last gen I 4x4 was wrecked by my drunk driving ex). Did a complete refresh/clean on the cooling system but I was afraid to crack the plastic rad neck and didn't crank down the upper rad hose enough. All my water steamed out and it overheated.

I was able to find a T-boned 99 R/T with 118k for $800, and although I've never been a gen II guy, I'm now considering building an R/T "clone" once I get the old 360 picked apart and inspected.

So I'm curious, what parts (not body parts) are exclusive to the R/T only? I'm guessing it's only suspension bits and maybe the 3.91 lsd, but like I said, I'm into first gen Dakotas, so I dunno.

A lot is different between Gen II and Gen III. The powertrains will swap unless the Gen II is OBD-1 and then you have to swap over a lot in order to run the engine. But, since the changes only dealt with sensors, you can just swap those for the OBD-1.
Suspension components may not be a direct swap unless you can weld because IDK if the attachment points are different.

The R/Ts come from the factory with the suspension 1" lower than a reg Dakota. A-frames upper & lower up front, springs,steering knunckles, rotors, calipers, rotors, complete rear end assembly including leaf springs, the PCM, CMT, engine wiring harness.
