I have been looking at the billett gas door covers. I have a silver 2000 durango and was wondering if anyone has a picture of one already installed to see how it would look.

The manufacturer who made the Durango doors for Elite and I is sending me some doors that were assembled from extra parts that were produced from the last batch, as soon as I have them in hand (should be just a couple of days now) I will post a note and offer them for sale.

This is the only way to get a true Billet door for a Dodge Durango.

I want one of those doors, How much? Are they chrome or Billet Aluminum?
They are going to run in the neighborhood of $130-150 shipped. They are true billet aluminum, top notch construction, not some cheap fake piece of crap you see in some catalogs. When I contracted to have the original batch made people could custom order whether they were polished or brushed finish (both finishes are also anodized for long-term protection from the elements), but I do not know how many of which type are going to be available with these leftover pieces. As soon as I have them in my hands I will post more information.

I have looked into these and they are not true fuel doors. They are just the lid that fastens to your stock hinge. Plus they are not billet aluminum. It seems to me that they are a real piece of crap. However $70 is much cheaper than $150. For me I still want the doors that Steve is getting his hands on.

Yeah those other doors are a complete ripoff, I can't believe they're charging so much for a fake slab of metal.

I was told over the phone that the doors were going to ship out yesterday, since I was supposed to have these ages ago I'm going to wait until they're in my hands to move forward with orders but hopefully this will be soon.

Any new news on those doors?
Nothing new yet... I was told by the manufacturer that he was going to ship them out a few days ago but I haven't received a confirmation or tracking info. If I don't see them by the middle of next week I'll call him again. As soon as I have them here I will post notes amongst the various forums.

is it safe to say that this fuel door thing is not going to happen?
I was told that there was 17 doors left after the group buy was completed, and that they were shipped out last week. If I don't see them by Wednesday or so I'll go postal again.

Did you ever get those doors?
Still waiting... I found out this morning that they were sent to the wrong address, the vendor will check their records this evening to access the tracking information to find out if the package was accepted by the new tenants of the old address or whether it was sent back so we can try again.

Luckily the doors were delivered to the apartment complex office and not to the new tenants. As mad as I should be at them for camping on them without contacting us (they have all our fwd info), I'm glad that they were safe and now they're in my hands.

I have a total of 13 fuel doors - 10 brushed, 3 polished. These are the absolute last billet fuel doors for 98-03 Durango (unless someone wants to front the $5000+ for another batch), so get them while you can, first come first served.

The price is $140.00/ea which includes shipping via USPS Priority Mail. My PayPal address is [email protected]. Payment also accepted via money order, e-mail me for details.
