What is the biggest spare tire that you can fit? (year and model also please). I'm thinking about lifting the "D" and don't want to get stuck without a full size spare, in the stock location, and without interfering with my stock hitch!

Maybe someone else will chime in - but 31" is all that I can fit in the stock location. Now, I just throw it in the roof rack so that I have nothing there (less to clean and drag over anything).

You can fit a 33x12.5x15 or similar size. I jsut installed mine under there. Thats about as big as you can go. its stuffed in there but it fits. And I have a trailer hitch also

Any chance of fitting a 35" under there? Maybe with some light mods, like removing leaf springs for coilovers, rerouting exhaust, or slightly cutting away at something?

(We're talking Gen 1, right?)
