My windshield is just plastered all the time! I need a good bug deflector for my 99 Dakota. I had a great one on my 93 (Can't remember the brand, it started with a D) then the damn transmission shop broke it, and and replaced it with an AVS one that didn't work at ALL. I'm not looking doe low profile blah blah blah.. I want one that works the best to keep the bugs off!

Might possible have been a Dee Zee..
It didn't start with a "D" .. I just remembered wrong, it finally came to me, it was a Proflie +. Lucklily, I found one on closeout, because I don't think they make them anymore. My profile+ worked great, the AVS didn't do squat. It was so low profile it didn't do it's job.

AVS Bug Deflectors are highly recommended.
the only reccommendations I see is that people like how they look. Not that they are any good keeping the bugs off your windshield.

Alphanguy, here are all the options for your Dakota: http://www.carid.com/1999-dodge-dakota-bug-shield/ Take a look at WeatherTech - it has great quality, custom fit and provide excellent protection against stone chips and bug stains.
My AVS on my 04 Dakota has flattened out quite a bit over the 5 years it's been installed.
Just put the last coat of clear on a new grille, adding billet insert with Ram head and a Lund deflector with the eyebrows. I like the look of the Lund as it follows the lines of the hood... slight bump in center. Hope to get it all on Saturday morning.
