Own a 2000 Dakota 3.9L, Manual Tranny. Recently the 4WD Lock indicator stopped working. Shortly after, the backup lights stopped working too. Have checked all fuses and lamps for backups to no avail. Could these two problems somehow be related? Are the sensors both in the smae area or harness...mystified!

Answer to problem

Well, Problem has finally been found. For some reason, it seems that the back-up light switch and 4WD Lock switch both decided to go AWOL at the same time. replace switches and all is well!
