Figured I'd start a new build thread, since it's a new build. :)

Engine is done and ready to drop in, just have to finish up a few things on the truck, like put the stock gas tank and fuel line back in.

Nothing fancy, stock shortblock, stock heads, HS 1.7 rr's, ported/shortened kegger, fastman tb, gibson shorty headers w/ jba y-pipe and single magnaflow and a b&g flash. Looks wise, she now has a reflexxions cowl hood and a set of 19x10 CCW SP550s. They just arrived yesterday so I only have the one pic, I'll get more once the truck is back on the ground and running.

Thinking about booosting it again dave or just gonna keep it like that till you can afford another build?

Gonna leave it like this for a while and just enjoy driving it again. There's a few more minor cosmetic mods I want to do. Then I'll look at getting into another build in a few years, probably another stroker. :D

LOL I knew somebody would say that, I pointed it out on the other board, forgot to here. That was the first one I opened so I just tossed it on there for the pic, they will be facing the right way when they go on the truck.

Here's a few more pics. Getting 'em sealed up before I put 'em on the truck. Hopefully it'll help keep the maintenance down, we'll see.

What happened to the 425?

And if this is a back to stock-ish thread, this would be a " Build down" thread lol

Any updates?

Not yet, ran into a minor snafu. The gas tank I picked up is from an older truck, I didn't realize they changed the filler neck setup. I'm picking up a newer tank this Friday, then I can put her back together. :D
Sweet. Post some finished pics

Just realized that I have completely neglected this thread. There was a long pause while tracking down the right gas tank and fuel line. But the truck is now back together, only to be plagued by an electrical issue that I haven't had time to sort out yet. Hopefully here in the next couple of weeks I'll have it fixed and get her on the road. Engine/trans are back in the truck, front suspension is done, still need to put the shackle hangers in the rear.

ah ha! so you do have a build down thread! lol i love it
Picked up my hood from the paint shop, mounted the airbox and put the decals I had made on (Glen Renzoni is the man!). Tomorrow I'll get back on my electrical issue, gonna fix the jumper in the pdc, hopefully that cures my problem and she starts. :D

Better pics to come once she's running and out of the garage. :eek:nethumb:

I've wanted this hood ever since I bought the truck in '02. I'm really glad that I was able to find a Terry DeLong original, I didn't want to have to settle for a Keystone copy. I've been through five hoods in the last four years, and I can honestly say that this hood will never leave the truck. :D
