Gotta replace an axle for a friend with a square body v8 dak with a 8 1/4. Found some v6 rear ends, I'm 99 sure they bolt right up. Correct me if I'm wrong. Tia

What year, engine size, transmission, and differential is the truck you are planning to fix?
Are you replacing the whole axle assembly or an axle shaft. Ten bolts on rear cover is a 8.25 diff.
Twelve bolts is a 9.25 diff. Also if you are replacing the complete assembly you need to
know if it is limited slip or not. Is the truck a 4wd or not? If 4wd you need to use the correct
gear ratio.
