99 dakota no bus display in odometer ???

tks. YK2, is this also probable cause for the ignition wires not to fire at the plugs? I can remove instrument cluster and check guages for continuity.
as note, when instrument "recalibration" is attempted, i get errod codes 900,920,921, & 999. these all reference "cluster" not recg. data from pcm.
your thoughts greatly appreciated.

i'm going to ask (cause it's quicker) but where is the crank sensor located. don't say on the crank,please. is it behind harm. balancer, etc...and what should i get when i switch accordingly? i'll try to locate and move forward.

did as txlen suggested. guages worked. replaced sensor, problem solved. THANKS !!!!
as note: cleaning the sensor in this case would not be appropriate as txlen stated, it is a "short" situation. you could look at the end of the sensor and see discoloration at the wire.
