Just finished getting the motor (318 out of a 98 Dakota) set into my 88 Dakota kept the mpfi from the 98 got it fired up for the first time did some finishing up hooked up the exhaust put coolant in and the belt on. Before all this it would start up first time every time now I have to hold it at WOT and twist the distributor around to get it to fire it spits and spuders and will eventually start it runs rough until I set the distributor back to where it should be and then it runs fine. As soon as you shut it off with won’t start. Any ideas? New coil cap rotor new fuel pump new plugs and wires also
