Hey all first thread on here I think. Got a 2000 dakota 4.7l. Runs great when cold but when it warms up has rough running at stops, and dies when I turn right at first then dies whenever it feels like. When warm it runs rough and wants to shut down. Came up with a map sensor code and misfire on cylinder 1. Figure it would be dirty or something so I took 1 injector out and cleaned it in solution replaced and all seemed fine till the next day when it started up again. Had this happen to a 90 s10 I had a few yrs back I just scrapped it and got another one. But I love my dakota and would never so that to her. Any ideas? This is my first dakota BTW.

Does it start right back up after it dies?
Did you replace the MAP sensor?
As far as that misfire, did you look at the plug on #1? Maybe swap a coil from a good cylinder with #1 and see if the misfire follows the coil.

Yes, replace map and it got even worse. It only acts like this after warming up. The coil swap I have not tried.

Did the CEL/code for the MAP sensor go away?
