Restarting the thread. 06 Durango 4.7L. Will a 4.7HO intake work? Will I need to make other mods? I can get the HO intake for cheap. Do I need to do anything else and am I asking for problems?

The only problem you might have is with the egr. If uts the 02 ho intake there's not a spot for it. Other than that you're good

On Cam’s it appears the 08+ cams are the ones to get. Is there a standard and HO cam for the 08-13, or are they all standard for 08-13? Thx!

I plan to use a remanufactured 4.7HO short block in my 56 Dodge pickup after I mount the cab/box on my 2001 Dakota. So I'll get a 2008 intake manifold to go with the Gibson headers and Flowmaster exhaust. Since I prefer low to mid range power versus high rpm power, would it be reasonable to use the throttle body from my 2001 4.7V8? Or am I better off to get the throttle body on a 2008 or later HO intake manifold and use a TB adapter to work with cable TB setup?

That's what I'm thinking. A slightly smaller TB creates higher fuel/air velocity into the heads, which aids low and mid range power. I'll try it and if I find a deal on the larger TB I may try that later.
