Hey guys I just got done working for nearly the full summer and have a pocket full of cash lol. I just bought some 206 duration 502 lift off of ebay that I MADE DEAD SURTAIN are straight and measured them with the micrometer and did the conversion with the rocker arm ration and they cam out to be 502 intake and like 468 exhaust?...I got to buy some lash caps but that's alright because im just lucky I found them lol...the 08 intake manifold is sitting in my garage and im waiting for the adaptor from airram which should be here the 25th (that guy is super cool!)...im going defiantly buy more stuff from airram probably today im going to buy a set of Gibson shorty headers and a F&B 70 mm throttle body...anything im forgetting that should help me out on my budget build? im thinking im going to get it tuned on the dyno this winter...my big question is, is how hard is it to swap heads? I was looking into the economy prepped heads on airram. if you guys are interested in the beginning of the build up check it out on youtube just type in 08 intake manifold swap dodge 4.7 thanks guys and let me know what you think!

If you have an auto, get gears! I'm 2wd and a club cab so I went with 4.10s from 3.55s..my 4.7 is happy and so am I! I'm on 29" tires and hit 2000rpms at 59mph..not bad at all. My truck even barks the tires now 1st-2nd.

If you're 4x4 with 31s or bigger, 4.56 would be your gear.

Overall it cost me just under 1300 parts and labor. That's new richmond 4.10s, new trac lok carrier, complete rebuild kit, u joints, trans seal and gear oil.

How is the low end with those 206s? I ordered me a street edge 2600 stall torque converter, it's what Andre from Edge recommended for my daily. I will let you know how it is once it's installed. Can't wait! Also, those headers do much for u? I've heard 4.7 manifolds flow like headers. What are your times?

First off the new cams are great and didn't kill to much power down low, the thing REALLY eats at about 3000 rpm with the 08 intake manifold but I cant tell too much difference down low with the new cams but man it hauls some ass after it starts taching 3 grand! lol...Yeah man that would be awesome if you could let me know about that stall because ive been thinking about possible getting one after I get the race prepped heads from airram this winter:)!. And lastly the headers....to be honest I actually felt better performance all the way through the power curve and seriously if more people actually saw how restrictive those stock manifolds look I think there would be more people buying them hahaha... once you have cams, intake manifold, and throttle body you need some way to get all that exhaust out faster and that's where the headers come in...im sold on them and don't regret it at all...PLUS they look really cool lol...havnt been able to get to the track with all the new mods but will sure let you know when I do!

Sounds like you are well on your way!
If going to run the nitrous make sure you have a good tuner (recommend FlyinRyan), correct plugs, at least 93 octane and a clean install of the N2O system with good tested fuel system. Ran 13.14 @ 102.99 with 75 shot on mine. Keep up the good work.

As for the window switch I am running the MSD window switch (which requires a tach adapter) since I am running a manual trans. If you are running the automatic you should be pretty safe without one, if you are shifting it manually however I would recommend one.
Mods:
Custom CAI, 70mm F&B TB, '08 manifold, Airram adapter, HO cams, Gigson SS shorties, Custom 2.25" downtubes into 2.5" Y pipe into single 3" Magnaflow muffler with turndowns. Weapon X ignition coils, 180* T-stat, HHR electric fan, ATI balancer w/25% reduction, converted from auto to TKO 600, 5.7 flywheel, CF clutch/pp, Quicktime SFI bell, Custom 2 piece driveshaft, 4.56's, TruTrac, 5 lug converted Fr hubs, 5 lug Dutchman axles, Billet Specialties Street lites, 28" x 15" M/T ET Streets, skinnnies up front, QA1 DA in front, Strange DA shocks Rear, Caltracs, monoleafs, 3920# w/driver. NX nitrous kit for Dodge truck EFI kit with added purge. Topped of with a Flyin Ryan tune!
Adobedude has a new, unused NX kit for sale on here and is a good guy to deal with.

i see! youve tried just about everything in the book! lol...but you would say i would be pretty safe with just a single stage nx kit off airram and purge kit?...your engine bay looks better then most naked women hahaha...and what would be your best advice for me to get into the 13s N/A? then with a 75 shot on top that i wanna hit the low 13s...thanks for all your help guys your life savers! haha

Yes the list is long :)
And forgot Custom fuel cell, Phantom fuel pump, Hi-Potek aluminum fuel rails, 2006 HO injectors, set up as a return system.

LOL, thanks for the engine bay compliment :)
13's:
-Get rid of the 30" in tires, started with those and they were too much. Switched to 28"x12.5x15" ET streets and dropped .4!!!!! If you have the 4.11s would even suggest going with 26" slicks.
-Remove weight (safely) these things are HEAVY with small engines! Move battery to rear, lighten front as much as you can, lightweight wheels, discs quickest way to to reduce. Some people will say that only weighs .2 lbs not worth the effort, well unless you have lots of cash for expensive lightweight parts 5 .2lbs items = 1lb, -100lbs = .1 quicker ET. Just don't risk your life for weight reduction.
-You don't even want to think multi stage until engine is built specifically for NOS. Single stage, pretty safe to 100 depending on engine condition. Start @ 50, then 75, then 100 but ONLY after getting a tune by good tuner, changing plugs to cooler heat range and running good, fresh gas.
-Caltracs/traction bars to control wheel hop.
-Good converter will help a bunch as well. Nick at Airram can guide you well there.
You are well on your way with mods for power, biggest hurdles are weight, traction and horsepower. Take your time, do it right first time, research for yourself, don't believe everything you hear. And have fun :)

Alright that helps a ton!:) ill probably be buying the nitrous kit soon and am for sure going to get it tuned for a 75 shot since its only got 71,000 miles on it lol the result of some old farmer never driving it and babying the crap out of it haha... I was thinking for the next few items...
-nitrous kit and tune
-fiberglass hood and roll pan
-aluminum wheels and skinnies up front
-see what I can do about getting some 26/12.50/15 mickey Thompson et streets
-get this damn f&b 70mm throttle body to work right lol (just isn't idling right, need to call f&b about that)...
...anything im leaving out for now? and then I can start widling away at your list? hahaha man idk the pickup will sure be sitting low in the back with those 26 inch tall tires since I have 28 inch tall front tires and its lowered on lowering blocks 2 inches in the back haha but whatever I got to do to get into the 13s n/a I will!..but you really think 26 inch tires with the auto 5 speed? wouldnt it shift into overdrive?

Turn O/D off. You should be trapping between 88-98mph which should put you @ 5100-5800 rpm which is in the range for now.
Mine has -2"Fr (lower control arms) -3" (1"blocks/2" leafs), w/28" fronts and 28" rears and is nearly level (which is what you want).
Recommendations:
Converter
Lower front 2" to somewhat level truck. As you keep increasing performance you may end up going up to 28" rears.
Caltracs/traction bars
Get everything dialed in (tuning, tire pressures, etc), then add N2O.
