Hi..can you tell where or how I get 224 cams?
We used to take HO cores and ship them off to CRANE CAMS who would regrind them into one of several different profiles. The most popular re-grinds where 206's 212's and 212x's... The 224's where typically base cams that where reground for boost applications. The base cams have the 115 centerline which is better for boost than the HOs 111 CL. You would need to run lash caps to make up for the material removed from the cam lobe base after reground.

I dont know if Crane is still willing to regrind cams today but you could always give them a call.

Personally, I would keep the unmolested HO or 2008+ cams and put the money into Ported heads and custom tuning...

We have customers making over 310-320 RWHP with HO & 2008 cams, ported heads and custom tuning...
