Hello all! I'm new to the forum here and the car world in general but I've had my durango for just about 2 years now and its constantly felt underpowered. I'm interested in getting a turbo charger but don't know where to look for the 4.7. If anyone has any ideas of where to search that would be great and if you currently have one installed please let me know how it works!

With a some-what unpopular engine, such as the 4.7, your best option is to have a reputable shop fabricate a turbo setup from the ground up. They'll pick a turbo based on what goals you have in mind, then make the manifolds, downpipe, exhaust, intake, etc. One of the most important parts of a forced-induction build is engine management and tuning, so keep that in mind.

Man honestly unless you have money to really burn I'd avoid it, or sell the Durango and get one with a Hemi, tons of stuff for those engines available. To dial this thing in once it's either supercharged or turbo'd you're also looking at everything SWD cited plus cam profiles, etc. And then if you do stick with the 4.7 you'll probably want to start with the HO engine.

For what it is going to cost to turbo the 4.7, you would be better off finding a wrecked Durango Limited with the 5.7 HEMI and grabbing the engine, harness, PCM, and mounts and be done with it. You will save a lot of money with a mild HEMI build and not have to worry about if the tuning is right and also finding the right premium, as there are some states that don't sell 93 octane and that will severely limit your power.
Even then, I think you may have some problems with your 4.7, because the 08 and up 4.7 are rated at 300hp and 320ft-lbs. That is 65hp and 20ft-lbs. more than the old standard output 4.7 put out and way better than either the JGC 4.7 HO or the Dakota's 4.7HO. When was the last time the spark plugs were changed, throttle body and idle control valve cleaned, air filter changed, etc.? It sounds to me like the engine hasn't had a tune up in a while.

Everything is up to date maintenance wise I think I've just gotten so used to it and it doesn't feel the same unfortunately. Would I be better off just sticking with some basic upgrades such as a tuner, intake, exhaust, etc?

The basic engine mods will give you a modest increase in power and fuel economy but will not be enough to make it faster than you want. That is why I suggested finding a wrecked Durango HEMI. Immediate 60hp/75ft-lbs. increase and that is just stock. The 5.7 will respond to mods better than the 4.7 will and with the MDS and VVT, you can get all that power without taking a hit to your fuel economy.
