Hello All,
I have bought a 2007 Durango AWD around a year ago. The previous owner had a set of Bilstiens installed on all 4 (I don't know for how long).
It rides stiff, too stiff for a family SUV. It is quite uncomfortable at times.
Offroad, it rides terrible. I do occasional sand driving but no serious offroading. On uneven surfaces that has left & right movement/articulation (even on the street) it juggles left and right really bad.
BTW, I have factory 17 inch wheels and the previous owner has put slightly bigger tires.
Is it just how the D drives and feels? or are the Bilstiens actually stiffer than factory suspension?
The front components and rubbers are totally worn out, but I don't think that has to do with stiffness. Does it?
After inspection at the shop, shocks looks good.
So should I go back to factory suspension (or other OE replacement)?
Any other shocks options that are softer/smoother to improve ride quality?
Or this how it rides from factory and I shouldn't bother?
Appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,
LT
