I'm new to the forum, but am hopeful that someone out there can help me. I am trying to replace the rear stabilizer links on my 2006 Durango. It looks very simple to do; remove top bolt and bottom stud nut, replace link and bolt back together. The problem I have encountered is that the top bolt on the drivers side cannot be removed because the fuel tank interferes with removal of the bolt. Does anyone have any tricks for removing the bolt without having to drop the fuel tank?

Drop the axle instead. Put jack stands under the frame instead and then lower the axle with the floor jack.
