hey guys, this is driving me crazzyyy!! lol.
i have an '04 Dakota v-6 a/t 4x4.
it is stuck in 4-lo and i cannot use it on the street.
it keeps blowing the 20 amp fuse under the hood in the main relay/fuse box on the driver side.. :(
it seems that when i put a new fuse in, it stays good and the switch inside the cabin stays lit, well, the 4-lo light flashes, and the 4-hi light is solid.
as soon as i turn the dial to 2-hi and put the truck in neutral it blows the fuse right away.. ugh. what can this be? please, looking for any help at all. thanks guys.

maybe the electric shift motor that engages/disengages the 4x4 is seized. Causing the fuse to blow? maybe a few gentle whacks with a hammer would free it.
