I have an 03 Dakota with the 4x4 3.9 with a 5 speed. We are looking to get a camper. We are wanting to be able to haul our Vulcan 1600 motorcycle as well as the camper with this truck. The motorcycle weighs about 750lbs. Looks like the trailer rating for this truck is a little under 4000lbs. I thought it would be higher than that...

Anyways, does anybody have set up similar that they are using. What are your thoughts on this??

It would had been higher if you had the V8 and didn't have the 4wd version. The best you could do is go for the lightest trailer you can live with, leave the motor cycle behind or trade the truck for something with a higher GVWR
