No one has done it as far as I know. The 08 has dual spark-plugs and uses the NGC PCM (mid '02 up) with a different tone ring on the crank from the earlier JTEC PCM. The engine should bolt right in. You would also need AIR-RAMs billet throttle body adapter to get rid of the flyby-wire throttle body.
2001 to a2008 4.7 will it work
hi, iam new to the forum. I am looking at putting a 2008 4.7 into my 2001 dakota cc which also is a 4.7 and just wondering what if anything will need to be changed any info would be great. AND THANKS IN ADVANCE.
