I have the factory CD/FM unit in my Dakota quad SLT and I'm hoping to hardwire an iPod into the back of it. Are there RCA inputs back there? (maybe for the cassette option?) I'm not too interested in one of the expensive units I've seen that plug into a CD Changer port.

It's just a working/Fishing rig nothing too pampered like some of ya'll's ;)

Thanks
Paul

nope.

unfortunately, that's what you'll need if you want to connect an iPod to it. The factory radio only has the CD Changer port as an external input. The aftermarket units that plug into it "pretend" to be a CD changer.

your only other alternative is an FM modulator (a device which has an FM transmitter or plugs into your radio's antenna port.)

Just buy an FM modulator. $30 tops! It will plug into the antenna port and give you RCA's. Not digital quality or anything, but it works just fine.
